Not every trade works with electricity, but most work around it.
You might be cutting pipes, chasing walls, pulling cables, or crawling in manholes. You might’ve been told the power’s isolated, you might’ve isolated it yourself.
Either way you believe the site is safe, until one touch tells you it isn’t.
Whether it’s the backfeed that slipped past. The extensions never added to the plans. The switch another bloke flicked on. Or the tap you reached for, unknowingly live from a hidden fault.
How do you protect yourself from electrical hazards you don’t even know are there?
Enter Komodo Vigilant® PVAD® Tech Gloves. It’s voltage detection at your fingertips, alerting you to live electricity before you get too close. It’s your failsafe for the unexpected.
What is PVAD?
Komodo Vigilant® PVAD® Tech Gloves are your Personal Voltage Alert Device. The Tech Gloves alert when you’re in proximity to live AC electricity, detecting voltage up to 400mm away, so there’s no need to get too close. PVAD provides continuous detection of both single-phase and three-phase voltage from 110V to 440V.Â
How Does PVAD Work?
PVAD has sensors built into the fingers of the glove that detect the invisible RF signal that an A/C electrical circuit sends out. No active draw (amperage) is needed to detect the signal, only active voltage is required.
Simply don your gloves, turn the tech on, and get to work knowing PVAD will detect electrical hazards as you approach them.
PVAD Tech Gloves are not here to replace your training, your lockouts, your common sense, or general safety practices. PVAD is here to be your failsafe.
Because you can do everything right and still be one of the 378 people who were hospitalised for exposure to electric current in Australia in 2023-24.
